We keep getting calls from this number (sever times per day). Caller ID displays: Client Retention.
Since it is related to Duquesne Light I am going to try and complain to Duquesne Light. Let's see if this would help.
I have been getting calls from this number, several times a day. I don't answer the call because I don't recognize the number (that says only New York) and they never leave a message. When they don't leave a message, I know it is definitely a SCAM. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. ALOT OF GOOD THAT SEEMS TO BE DOING, AS I GET MANY OTHER SIMILAR CALLS FROM MANY DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS THAT ALSO NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE.
Message starts with chimes, and then a recorded male voice launches into a pitch for Duquesne Light customers to press 1 to save money on their electric bill.
(Calls are not from nor authorized by Duquesne Light Co. in Pittsburgh, PA.)
These morons call up to 4 times a day. Attempts to tell them to stop are useless.
Perhaps jamming them with fake “yes” responses and bailing out before the official transferring of your electric supplier would help slow their process down, costing time and money.
If they can’t check and process the State and National do not call databases – how reliable could their service be?
I've received at least five calls from this number and the apparently associated number (347)502-2537 in the last twenty-four hours or so. I don't answer them because they're not someone I know and they don't leave a message. I'm glad to see it confirmed here that they're scammers. I just hope they don't call everyday for seven months like the "free home alarm system" people did! I, too, am on the "do not call list" so that makes this all the more insidious.
