Yes - I got the same BOA notification.  It is a scam.

Got this text message from the same phone number 347-853-8989. Beware, they are not Bank of America, this fraud scam of some sort.  Spoke with real BOA, & they stated the phone number not theirs & that they would never list themselves as BOA.  They said if I ever get a phone call or text concerning my account with them, to hang up with the person or not call the number on the text, to simpl

y call them direct- the real Bank of America.

Received text twice.  I called the phone number 347-853-8989 and the female voice asked for my 14-digit debit card number for Bank of America.  Don't give it to them!
