These people call everyday. They used to have a number to press for stop calling, which I pressed, and they kept calling. Now they don't even offer that. They say press 5. Today, I said to the caller this is the second time I am asking to take my number off your calling list. She hung up on me. This is a scam to get your personal info. It's not legit.
This number is for a private investigative company, hired to conduct surveillanc stakeouts on the residences of worker comp and disability insurance claimants who are home and coolecting disability payments or worker compensation benefits.
To determien whether or not you are home, they will call your house phone to see if you pick up. If you pick up, then they will continue to conduct a surveillance on your home to see if you come out sooner or later and go anywhere and follow you as they hope to capture youm on video doing anything physical, even if it is just local driving, holding grocery bags, doing yard work, even stooping to place a bumper sticker on your car.
These f-ers call all the time, in spite of my registration with the Do Not Call list. No matter what I do- ignore, answer, press 1 to be removed, speak to a person, etc. (I even filed an FCC report)- the result is always the same: non-stop calls. I like Retribution's idea - I think I'll try that next- at least I'll vent a little frustration.
Same as everyone else, the pests are trying to lower my electric bill. After telling the call center 3 times not to call me anymore and them telling me I would be added to their 'Do Not Call" list, they still are calling. I'm going to have the number blocked now.
