Just got a call from the 347-347-1122 number which seems to be using a New York City area code. They were looking for someone saying I am in legal trouble. They could not understand what I was saying when I told them this is NOT that persons number/phone. They kept replying, why I am I using his number, I should stop.
They said they work for New York Police Department. They also got hostile and started yelling. Thanks for all the info from you all, I was going to report to NYPD terrorism hotline.
I got a call from someone with a deep Indian accent stating he was John Smith and that my name and SSN are being sued.. Pay now or else. Funny, they tried running the same scam on me this time last year. Guess they think we're stupid. Come on, at least get a better name than John Smith
I got the same call- heavy Indian accent stating he was whoever with PCS. They haven't tried this scam for about 6 months - usually get these calls about once every couple of months. Scum bags.
I received a call from this # stating, in a Robo voice style, that my Debit Card has been locked, that to unlock it press #1 on my key pad and a security adviser will confirm my identity to get it un-blocked. I did not respond to the message,
