They did me the same thing. They said my social security was cancelled and I would not receive it next month. They said I better pay them a 1000 dollars. They also said they were trying to serve me with a certified letter, but no one was ever here to relieve it. They said I was going to be arrested and I was going to get two years in prison. I Googled it and it said it was a scam. I called back and was cursed at. Then they blocked my number. Piece of [***] scam artists.
This is a very slow speaking robo call claiming to be with the IRS. Female voice with name given on the call as Mickey(sp?) Johnson. This is the exact same voice and name as a call I receive the other day from phone number 323-729-3062, so whoever this is must change phone numbers frequently. Don't be taken in by this call or the veiled threats. The IRS does not call or e-mail you, they contact you via snail mail.
Same voice as described above, I called back, the man said that I have underreported income, and the IRS has filed action against me. I am in contact with the IRS, and to the best of of my knowledge, the IRS does not have robodialers, or call, they send mail, I have been in a payment arrangement with them without missing a payment. Highly doubtful that a NY number would be representative of the IRS. Be careful.....be very very careful
After I called out the very foreign sounding man from Brooklyn (where the # is from), that I am in an arrangement with the IRS and am in touch with them, they blocked my # from calling them back. SCAM! The # described by the previous poster is "not allocated". .
