They just called my client acting to be a lawyer as well. Iam with a Lawyers office and these are a debt collection agency trying to collect on bad unpaid debts that have already been charged off many many years ago. Do not give them any of your information they are bogus. They have been sued numerous times for stealing money out of people checking/savings accounts. They are in violation of the FDCPA each and every way. If they continue to call you tell them to cease and desist all further contact with you. If they continue to do so you may have a law suit on your hands. Thanks.
They called me today and told me that they were Scott Sylvester from Kings County Courthouse in Brooklyn- I called the court house and they don't have anyone working there. They told me that I had a lawsuit against me for fraud- I've never committed a crime, let alone fraud. Just ignore them!
Total Scam.
I got a call from Officer Scott Thomas with the Kern County Sheriffs Office in New York stating I was being sued and criminal charges would be filed against me.Could hardly understand the guy. I called them back and asked for their address, company name and tax ID number. The guy hung up. called back, was told their name was Financial Law Dept, 320 J Street, Brooklyn, NY and that my case number was NY-741403B (NY doesn't use that sequence for lawsuits) I called a number of times and asked to be removed from their call list. And also stated if they called me again I would SUE them. Guess what? they haven't called back since.
HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET UR INFORMATION? THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING ME SAYING THAT I OWE CASH ADVANCE AMERICA WHO I HAVE NEVER EVEN HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH... WHAT CAN WE DO?
I was contacted by these jokers as well. A man with an Indian accent claiming to be Officer Dean Martin. They claimed to be from an Attorneys office call the Financial Law Firm. A lawsuit had been filed against me for some financial arbitrations but could not give me any details, just repeatedly asked to talk to my attorney. They did have my social security number which concerns me. They transferred me to a supervisor who was LESS than professional and rather rude. I told them I knew they were a scam, and I wasn't an idiot, where he assured me I was. So I hung up, and I reported these people to the FTC and put a fraud protection on my social security number. Its a SCAM.
