i got the same exact message, but it was for a different person, and came up with an id , thats what i was surprised about, Im about to call them now and report this.
I just reported this guy to the FTC. He left a VM stating he was Neil Martin from the financial law division. He spoke with a thick foreign accent & I could barely understand him. He included a SSN in the voicemail along with a callback number & said that my attorney & I needed to call back and not to disregard this call. He said that there was a red flag for financial misappropriation to a finance company also stating a section and chapter as if he were refering to a law. The worst part of all of this is he was not trying to contact me. He was calling someone who had my # previously (I have only had my # for about 3 weeks). I had returned the call to inform him he was wrong for doing this & he was rude & unprofessional. He yelled at me and asked why I was so concerned about it if I wasn't who he was trying to reach. Hmmmm....because I now know someone's SSN that I shouldn't and how many people has he done this to?
Receiving voice msgs from a person identifying himself as Officer Scott Sylvester of Kings County Court at 1-347-349-7287. Said I was being sued unless I was willing to pay/settle a debt. When you return the call it is a foreign person who is very vague, answering the phone as legal/finance department. They would not give any information.
it usually happens when you sign up for a payday loan....the same thing has been happening to me for the past few days..an East Indian guy by the name of Kevin keeps threatening me...its too funny
I own a small startup business. I received a call from this number last week. They told me if I didn't show up to court by Monday a default judgement would be granted in favor of the plaintive.
She then said I was her favorite puppetmaker and she's sorry she doesn't work a 9-5 but she did her best to honor each appointment. She said she doesn't know what else can be done now.
I'm ruling this out as a silly prank call. Maybe a wrong number? Or some kids having fun? It's nothing important.
