I have been called from the # _______ repeatedly for a 3 day in a row stretch, then they stop for a few weeks, then start again. They have thick indian accents and other afro american thick accents. I finally answered and they have left several threatening messages on my phone # that I did not pay a bill and now the NY State Attorney General was going to hand me legal papers and I there was a lega lean on my Social Security # and I was to be arrested at home if I did not pay. i was to call the above Number back immediately 347.625. 3715. I did not beleive them asn asked them for an address, they gave me 101 E. Green Street in Brooklyn, NY 11327. I told them to send me something in writing, they had and recited me and my address (I did not give it to them) It is from Cash Advance USA. I looked up all these number sand it is a scam, I am worried becasue these people have a lot of imformation and I am a single mom. So I am not sure what to do.

I am not worried that anything that they say is actually true, but it is annoying to receive these calls on my home phone and embarassing to receive them on my MONITORED work line. I have been keeping a log of numbers and I will go through all of the steps you have listed! Thank you!
The number that came up n my caller ID was 052497347, however, the callback number he gave me was 347-625-3715. In the voicemail, he advised that he was Mike Wallace and that I needed to be "responsible" and call back immediately regarding this pending affidavit. I also received a call at my desk at work. When I advised I was at work and would not talk to him, he asked me to take a number to call back. I said "No". He said that I had to call back and I said I don't care what he had to say but I wouldn't call back. I explained that my father is an attorney and I know that anything has to be sent to me in writing and I would wait and hung up. It's so obvious that the calls are being piped from India and they are spewing fake names as quick as you say hello! I hate these people.
I too rec a call from alex at 347-625-3715, he sounded indian.I could not understand stand the message that he left, I did catch bits and pieces of the message, I tried to call the number back it went to voice mail, it said his name and said his voice mail is full.
I was called by someone with the last name of Jones or Johns (Indian accent.....coult not understand him very
well), but gav e the ab ove phone no to call him back on. When I did, of course I hide my telephone number
and when he asked for my phone no, I said not until I find out who you are and what you want. He then hung
up!! Original message said he could stop the legal charges if I would call him back.
