"The government" has been on the case for years. Foreign ownership and operation makes the job frustrating. If you can find and sue them yourself, you also have that right.

Goofy alias names are nothing new for the South Asian thugs. They also borrow liberally from American popular culture, swiping names of movie actors, sports heroes, and TV characters.
Ignore. This is a typical Indian or Pakistani debt scam. Only public prosecutors can file charges against you. These callers are scamm artists, nothing more. They are trying to scare you into paying them something. They can't do anything to you they are located on the Indian sub-continent. They get your information from various sources. The thick Indian accent should be a dead giveaway that this is a scam.
You cannot be arrested for an ordinary civil debt in any case. Being in debt is not a crime. Charges are only made by public prosecutors. And only by public prosecutors in your state. Debt collectors have nothing to do with what public prosecutors do or not do. Debt collectors cannot arrest anyone .
This same guy called me at work four times in a row. Finally, my coworker picked up the fifth time and said I wasn't availible. He claimed his name was Thomas Parker. Same speil, I would be taken to court, arrested, sued, etc.... The guy is a complete scam artist and the best way to avoid him, is to block the number he calls from, as there are multiple numbers that he/they use. Total scam!! I'll admit that I got pretty deep in debt with payday loans and it was a stupid thing to do. Everything has been paid off for over a year now and I'm on a budget. The guy is a fraud. Unfortuantly, he is beyond the reach of U.S. law. Not much the govt. can do unless the guy is caught here, in the states. Blocking the number on my cell phone has helped but I can't block him at work. It 's quite frustrating! Just ignore it if it happens. Or you can at least file a complaint with the FCC and FTC at their websites. Hope everything works out for everyone on here and anyone else who has fallen victim to this scam. Merry Christmas!! :)
I started receiving these phone calls again, just the other day. 5 times in 20 minutes. Mr. Brown told me the same thing that everyone else is saying. its been about 4 months since the last time I called quite annoying it really pisses me off.
I have been receiving this call for several months now, and also emails. Same as everyone else, they claim to be from the legal department and if I do not cooperate there is going to be a warrant filed with my local sheriffs department and a garnishment placed with my employer. I am very tired of it and have told them to stop calling, that I do not owe anyone money, and that I know it is a scam. And yet they still keep calling, using different names and calling from different numbers. I especially do not appreciate being called at my place of work. There has got to be a way to put a stop to this. When they leave a message the phone number they say to call back is (347) 627-1160.
