Here's some fun reading on the FTC actions against phony tech support telemarketers from the past twelve months. Gosh, but there's an awful lot of Indian names and companies in that mix of defendants.

What do we keep saying here, kids? Take your flaky machines to an honest tech you can meet in the same room. If you want help by phone, it should be a call the customer initiates to a genuine and trusted company and not some goons an ocean away who spam the internet and blast illegal sales calls.

Ben Felix Jayden Michael Niki Joshua Jingleheimer-Schmidt:

I will pause here from cracking wise and tell you how things will proceed. You cannot keep returning here each day with another false testimonial and expect to escape critical notice. You look more ridiculous each time you try your tiresome lies, and you're not very entertaining at that. You can't even keep your alias straight within the same comment, much less comprehend why you can't praise yourself in bloody quotation marks.

Name-dropping Comodo isn't helping you, either. Comodo produces SSL certificates and security software. It does not run a general tech support clinic, does not cold-call to offer assistance, and does not engage in any "ransomware" scheme.

We are not stupid like you. We can tell that English is not your first language, else you flunked out of grade school at age twelve. We know the swindle you're attempting and it's not working here. Keep going like this, you'll make a fatal error. When you do, keep your damned mouth shut when a state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission busts open your operation like a piñata. They will do the talking and you will do the walking, straight to the poorhouse or -- I can but hope -- a prison cell.
