"Jack Lewis" from the US Treasury called my parents' number. He refused to leave a message, just stating it was confidential and that I needed to call him back at 347-650-2113. He had an accent too. Obviously a scam. The US Treasury doesn't call, they write.
I received a call from this number. They said they were from the IRS. I said the IRS sends letters, he responded didn't you get the letter, I asked what was my address, he read my old address to me. He got up set and said he was sending the police to arrest me. Lol. He had an accent, and spoke bad english, he had a hard time reading my address. I was sending my CPA an e-mail then realized this is a scam, tis is the season.
Received a call from this number @ 11:20 a.m. today. The caller (a male) had an accent and claimed to be some sort of legal representative who advised, in his message left on my answering machine, that I needed to return the call as soon as possible, before "they" begin to take legal action.
Do not answer your phone if this number calls you; repeat ...do not answer! iIt is an obvious scam. Caller knew my full name, which is scary.
I recieved numerous calls from the 347-650-2113 number. I googled it right away and saw it was a scam. I then called the # to confront the scammers and asked them to take my number off their list. Of course, they wanted my name and more info. but I would not give it to them. Anyone who recieves a threatening call from this # should report them.
Called before 7:00 a.m. No one on line. Assumed it was a robo-call and someone else picked up first. Second call at 12:30 was a recorded voice saying there was a problem with my account and to call back immediately. I hung up and will not call back. Clearly a scam.
