Just received a call from this number but have no idea who it is. The person had my name but then the conversation went silent. I recently purchased some domains and didn't privatize the info immediately so it may be fallout from the SEO / web developer / graphic designer business chasers.
Steve, I bought new domains several days ago as well and never thought to privatize. Didn't know I could. They've called me twice today but I ignored the calls. Another graphics co approached me via email today as well. This has never happened to me before. But thanks for clarifying.
Steve mentions that this number may be "fallout from the SEO / web developer / graphic designer business chasers." That is definitely what this was for me. First the salesman could not say my name (Christopher) correctly due to English not being his native language. Then I asked to be removed from their call list and the salesman began arguing with me so I hung up. Rude people.
Caller is affliated with GoDaddy searching domain registrations. Caller was rude, refused to transfer to a supervisor, refused to remove the name and number from the call list, tried correcting me, etc.... even if you wanted services, this company appears to be abusive, demanding and potentially fraudulent, customer service at a minimum would suck!
I have also purchased domain names from my personal re-seller account that is through godaddy. This was bout a week ago, I have noticed some serious traffic on my phone with strange calls that are scams or something like this. I did not privatize the domains, wonder if that is their way to get people to pay. What up with that??? I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I would not answer it.
