The do not call list does not cover charities, polls, or political calls, so you'll still get those. And, of course, scammers and assorted criminals (such as the "lower your interest" people) don't care, because they're already breaking the law. But it WILL help with "ordinary" sales calls. I barely get those anymore and they used to be constant.
Got a call on my cell phone, punched 1 to talk to some poor schlump to inform her that she had dialed a National Do Not Call number, and that legal solicitation such as they were doing was unethical and illegal in Oregon. I asked for their information so I could report them to the state bar association. Call ended.
So, not only are they law-breakers, they're gutless law-breakers.
Received a call from 3476901882 It was telling me how to join a class action suit against the manufacturer of the birth control pill Yaz AND THEY HAD MY PRIVATE CELL PHONE NUMBER!!!!!! I am over 60 and stopped taking birth control before Yaz was invented. They must be calling every woman in the country who is still alive.
