RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.
Rec'd a call from this number- told me his name was Jason Kyser from the IRS and I have defrauded the IRS of $25,000...which I called back a got a woman's voicemail...the call was dropped before I could find out how to 'clear this matter up'.
Just got off the phone with a women from the same number. Its a total scam!! She told me I owed back taxes so she tried to have me go to the bank and withdraw $3000 or I could go to Rite Aid and get a government check or get a lawyer and if not i'll go to jail. I called my accountant and they said its a scam to call the police and IRS to report it.
