RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.

Its a scam. The FBI, local sheriff and NYPD (the number is from Brooklyn NY) didn't want to take the time to do anything about it, so I guess crime pays. Our tax dollars at work. The last time they called they asked for me by name. When I asked the [***] how she got my name she hung up. I would love to be part of a sting to catch these creeps but the cops aren't interested in catching crooks any more.
I received 3 calls from this number (347) 779-8076 on 01/31/15 from a female with an Indian or Pakistan accent. I immediately became suspicious after I realized the area code 347 is from NY and NY time was 7:30pm. TOTAL SCAM, DON'T FALL FOR IT. Contact IRS or visit www.tigta.gov.
