Craigslist & Kijiji are NOT eBay. It was meant for local sales. If you are getting text messages to buy your car, from half the country away, it's a scam. Local only, cash only.
FRAUD - I got a text on my cellphone about a car I had for sale on kijiji. I replied by email as asked. The "Mikel Morgan" said he would transfer the $ in my paypal account and I received false confirmations because no money was transfered. He said he transfered 1200$ surplus and asked to make a payment of 1100$ to his "agent" with much personal informations.
I got a msg text at 3am to contact him about an mags i am selling on lespacs.com, he even left me his email adress, but after reading these post, i wont contact him. I had a doubt about the originin of the phone number area code. I, from Montreal, and he is from Brooklin...
Thank you for these post I was contacted by text message from a girl named Cynthia Morgan and she lived in London Ontario but her Phone is on Quebec and she paypal 900 where the item only cost 300 buy when I asked you why so much I received a standard email stating how to join paypal which didn't make sence since I had and knew that she over paid me watch out for this one also telephone number is 15144165834
