I have got two calls from this IRS scam today. Don't fall for anything they say. The IRS does not just file a lawsuit... there is many months of paperwork that goes back and forth between the IRS and the American citizen that they have a dispute with. Someone will fall for this scam and be out $$$ and they will have no recourse,
Got automated voice mail message from 347-903-7914 while at work today. Said IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and I need to call that number to resolve it. I know the IRS doesn't call people. I called the number to see who would answer - a man with heavy Indian accent answered "IRS". I told him he was trying to scam people and asked him why - he said he really is the IRS and this is not a scam. I think I'll keep calling him just to annoy him.
A robocall from this White Plains, NY number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, a recorded female voice claiming to be the IRS announced it is filing suit against me for non-payment of taxes, but I could resolve the matter by phoning (347) 903-7914.
Folks, this is another in a long litany of fake IRS phone calls -- i.e. a scam by unknown fraudsters.
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM. DO NOT ANSWERS CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
