i recieved a call from here and they call my job, my mom and other family members. they say i need to go to court etc. but never use the same name of who is calling or any information on what it is they want.
Just got a call from these yahoos. They even gave me a case number! Tried to scare me into paying them 300 dollars. Their accent was so thick & the mispronunciation was laughable, if they hadn't been trying to scam me. I told him I could prove that this was false & he told me they had 11 pieces of evidence against me! When I asked what was the company suing me was called, he said Cash Advance. I asked for more identifying information & he said he was forbidden by law from giving me more than their phone number: 510-227-1809. When I called it, I got a fellow named Colin who said he was the operator for Crimes & Investigations!
I received a call from the crime investigation department at this number. The Indian speaking man told me I owed over $6000 from an unpaid payday loan which I denied. I asked him to mail or fax me the documents and he said thats 'not his job' and that he investigates fraud for over 250 different payday loan companies. He then confirmed my information..name, address, phone, social, employer, bank routing number and bank account number and told me that if I don't agree to settle this debt immdiately, he would call my employer in 5 minutes and would have law enforcement at my door this evening. He then called my daughter and told her she and I will both be arrested because I listed her as a reference. When I got back to work he had indeed called my employer, so I explained my panic to my manager about this guy having all of my banking information. She realistically told me IF he could do anything with my routing and checking number, he would have done it already....a robber doesnt knock on your door to warn you ahead of time. These jerks think they can send people into a panic and get them to release their debit card number, which is how they extort money out of people who they hope may have defaulted on a payday loan in the past. In a bind I have taken out payday loans yes, but luckily for me they have all been paid off and I know this call is a major scam. However, what bothers me, besides the fact that they are annoying as hell, is that my information is 'out there' and these jerks have it all.......they need to be stopped somehow.
I CANT BELIEVE THESE GUYS. THEY CALLED OUR BUSINESS TO SPEAK WITH ONE OF OUR EMPLOYESS AND WHEN WE TOLD THEM HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO CALL HIM ON HIS PERSONAL TIME THEY KEPT CALLING BACK AND TYING UP ALL FOUR OF OUR BUSINESS LINES FOR 45 MINUTES STRAIGHT. THEY GOT VULGUR AND SEXUALLY EXPLICIT TO THE OFFICE GIRLS, TALKING SEXUAL ABOUT OUR MOMS AND DAUGHTERS. CALLING US STUPID AND YELLING TO THEIR OTHER YAHOOS IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN THEY COULDN'T HEAR OUR PHONES RINGING TO KEEP CALLING AND BLOW UP OUR PHONES THAT THEY WERE GOING TO KEEP BLOWING UP OUR PHONES AND THAT WE DESERVED IT. WE FINALLY CALLED LAW ENFORCEMENT AND WHEN THEY CAME WE LET THE OFFICER ANSWER THE PHONE AND IT WAS THEM. THE OFFICER TOLD THEM WHO HE WAS AND EXPLAINED THAT WHAT THEY WERE DOING WAS AGAINST THE LAW. IT TOOK A FEW MINUTES AND FINALLY THEY QUIT CALLING. THAT WAS A MISERABLE 45 MINUTES HAVING TO DEAL WITH THESE GUYS. WE FELT VIOLATED AND PISSED ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
