Same call. Christina Brown from Department of Legal Affairs said enforcement actions had been taken against me and I'd be in a legal mess if I don't call back.
This same person left a message on my machine, apparently she is from the department of legal affairs, threatened 'my account' something something blah blah blah....... I just deleted the message. She's a very bad script reader.
<~800notes.com you should add "SCAM" to your drop-down list under "Call Type". This is obviously a thief, not a prankster...and, it's not unknown! >
Got the same call. 1 it wasn't the IRS. They never initiate contact by phone it's always by mail. 2 any collection agency wouldn't leave a threatening message. they just leave their name and number and where they're from ( although they might sound threatening) It's definitely a scam do not reply to this phone number and if you have to answer the phone and they start asking questions don't give them your name or any other personal information. just ask for their number and who they're with and report it to the police department. The police might not be able to do much about it but just making a report or letting them know about it will help them gather information.
