they called several family memebers. must have skimmed info from something. said he was vince davis, from PCS, could not understand. awhen i called back, they just answered the phone "hello", didnt say anything, then said "legal". said something else, I couldnt understand, then said call back with my lawyer.
I just received a call exactly as described in these posts. An extremely thick accent, potentially from a call center, very abrasive regarding a legal matter that is filed against me and associated with my SS# which he proceeded to give the last four digits of, and yes, told me God Bless. The urgency of his voicemail didn't rattle me nearly as much as the fact that he has my SS#. I'd like to know if anyone has been able to resolve this and prevent further occurrences.
I've had these folks call from several different places before, and it's total BS. They are sc artists trying to scare you. You can't have a crime against your ss# . When they call, I repeatedly call back asking for whoever left the message. John Thomson my [***]. I keep calling back and giving them
as much nonsense as they give me. They will stop calling. It is all fake do nit fear. You probably filled out a loan app or gave away too much info online.
these people are scam artist.. all you have to say is that you know they are trying to scam you and you are contacting the fbi, and giving them their info. they wont bother you again. DO NOT BE SCARED OF THESE FOOLS.. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. Ask them for their information, their address, fax #.. anything you can think of. i can guarantee they wont give you any of it. if they say you have to pay something back, tell them to give u a account # or somewhere to mail the payment to..DO NOT GIVE THEM A ACCOUNT NUMBER OR A DEBIT CARD #. they will take everything they can from you.
this happened to me.. trust me these people dont care. be firm and let them know you will contact the authorities.
I got a call from 1-347-474-7041 and they left a message stating that i should give them a call back, because there is a legal matter in there office that needs to be pertained to as soon as possible, and that i should call 1-347-960-0612 to resolve this matter. So i gave them a call and i could not understand the company name they were calling from , they asked who i was speaking with and i confirmed. Then they told me that i have an outstanding balance with some payday loan which mind you i have not taken out any payday loan, i informed them the only loan that i have is with my bank. So until they could send me documentation that i owed this "balance to this payday loan" that i was not going to listen to them. So they stated that i had been sent multiple notifications and they had tried to contact me several times. So i informed them that if i had received notifications that i would have paid the bill just like the other bills that i owe. I receive a bill in the mail and I PAY IT. Then this man stated " Its people like you that put all the blame on us because you cant pay your bills" I stated that i was going to hang up on him bc i had nothing further to say. Hence i have not received any further calls.
