Saying they were in Washington, D.C., person gave his name as Matthew but said he was from Pakistan. Offered to send me money but wanted either my credit card number or my bank account number. Said he was with Health and Human Services of federal government and was giving "grants" to people who were over 70. Two calls each very insistent that they were with the United States Government. I insisted I would not talk to them by telephone and that they could reach me by sending me a letter to my home address. Each person insisted they were in Washington, D.C. but the number identified as Washington (Bellingham, Vancouver). Second caller hung up on me when I confronted them with the false information that they were supplying. They gave me an identifier number of HK5083 and requested my credit card number or bank account number.

I received a call from a very hard to understand one "Matthew Parker" who was so excited to offer me a one time (not a loan but a grant) from The US Government in the amount of $9,789. Claim number HK5083. The money, he said, would be sent Western Union and all I had to do was pay $205. Nice try, Matthew Parker. nice try!
