He said his name was Steve Martin. He had an accent like from India. He said he was calling regarding the enforcement by the U.S. Treasury. Ignoring this second warning would be federal offense and would go before a magistrate, judge or grand jury if I did not respond. He did not use my name at all.
I got the same call, from Peter Martin saying (with an accent) he was making a second contact with me to demand appearance in front of a magistrate or a grand jury for some IRS enforcement action. I have no outstanding liabilities much less IRS issues. Has to be a fraud - I did not return the call.
Reveived 2 calls this mornig from 360-200-0964. As others have said they leave a messaGE saying they are from the treasury dept. And threaten legal action. I added it to my list and don't even asnwer. I know even legitmate bill collectors can't leave a meassage like that. And the IRS will not contac tyou by phone. You receive letters.
Call came from 360-200-0964 from a man with an accent who claimed to be Steve Martin calling from the US Treasury Dept saying I had a 2nd notice for a federal offense. I needed "to cooperate with us and help us help you". A repeat call came soon after. I hung up.
