I received a call from (360) 203-3295, a Washington number. I returned the call and caller stated he represented the Federal Government. I identified myself as Law Enforcement and asked what was the purpose of the call. The caller said a few words and hung up. I called back and again the person who answered identified themselves as an agent of the Federal Government. I asked him for his employee number and he became very irate. I explained that he needed to state the official purpose of his call and that I would be reporting it to the FBI.
I received a call from (360)-203-3295 on my work cell phone, saying that I have been selected for grant sum money ($8000) from the US government department of health and human services…. Just a heads up to the team. It looks like this particular scam is 2.5 weeks old.
They called me n whn i said take me off ur call list or i am going to report u 2 the BBB they threaten me my family. It might b a scam but it had me a bit freakd out
Hi they called me this morning and I really didn't believe it . An 8000 $ geant that i dont have to pay back from the US government ? Sorry but It didn't make sense . (They called me as well on the 17). Well I hung up and called back and he told me it was all real and stuff but then they asked for my debit card information but asked what my name was . Well if I was selected by the government then how do they not know my name ? I hung up . It's definitely a scam.
I just received a call from this number. same message as the one above regarding a federal grant that can be used for good, did not have to pay back and requested how I'd like to receive the form of payment. The person on the phone said it could be by bank account, credit card, or one other form.
I said was at work and asked to call back later. Putting them on my auto reject list.
