This Pro-Life Committee called my business and I told the caller that she had called a business and to please not call back. Over the weekend, this number filled up my message box by calling every 1.5-2min and not leaving a message - I think they must have been auto dialing. So mad I could spit...this took up my whole messaging system, 336 messages. I was not able to received my clients' messages.
That is what I've been telling other posters on this website -- the purpose of that call was to get your visa information/money. And pushy is not friendly. The person was not even live. And the call did not originate from a pro life organization -- it was a rouse, a cover. You were taken in by a computer. You gave out too much information about yourself. Don't give out any information. Even background noise at your house, is information for the computer. In the future, don't answer calls from people whom you do not know. If it is important enough, the caller will leave a message.
I am also pro life. The people who designed the computer program are hoping that someone like yourself and me will be sucked in because of how passionate we feel about the sanctity of life in the womb. I bet the same people have a robot caller for people who are pro choice. These criminal scammers prey upon high emotions and manipulate people into giving them what they want -- your information and your money -- maybe even trying to commit identity theft in the process. DON'T TALK TO THEM AT ALL!!!!! I made a mistake by talking also to the same Robot caller -- I told "her" that I don't give out information on the phone and I was terminating the call. But I made a mistake IN EVEN PICKING UP THE PHONE! Not a mistake I will repeat in the future!

Thank you for your post. I happen to be pro life, and I have been preaching the same message of just being respectful in posting, no matter what your beliefs or opinions are on the topic of pro-life/pro-choice. The calls are originating from a robot caller -- and I seriously doubt the call came from a pro-life organization -- it's just a rouse/cover -- to get credit card information/money from a victim. I bet there is a robot caller for pro-choice people too -- anything that people have strong feelings about -- enough to suck in the next victim to spend time on the phone. Even back ground noise in your home or business is information their computer picks up and hands to them. So it's just best not to answer the phone at all when such calls come through.

I've been doing research on this. And I have spoken with my phone company, and the party calling you was a robot caller. The do not call list will not work if their computer spoofed a charity's phone number -- spoofing means a party can cover their own phone number with someone else's. It's the latest rage in telephone scams right now. So it's just best to not even answer your phone, because if it is important enough the person will leave a message.
Just want to emphasize the importance of not giving any energy to these type of calls. They are usually coming from a computer. The reason pro life was used, is because the topic of abortion elicits strong emotions in people, whether you are pro life or pro choice. But the purpose of such calls is for one purpose and one purpose only: to obtain information about you, including your credit card information/money -- possibly even an identity theft attempt. It is hard sometimes to resist giving your peace of mind to whomever is calling you -- but resist and don't answer your phone unless you know for certain the call is legitimate. If it is, the caller will leave a message every time. Even if you just pick up the phone and don't say a word -- their computer can pick up on background noises in your home or business and take information from that.
