Got a call from this number. Did not answer because it was not identified. Do NOT answer or CALL back. I have been warned by my Credit Union not to answer any numbers that you do not know.
Soundboard call (prerecorded clips controlled by someone based on your response) to cell phone on DNC for home alarm systems. They are really evasive, so I strongly suspect they have been busted by the FTC before, and they are trying really hard to avoid getting caught again by people getting information from them and reporting it to the FTC again. I'd say who I think they are, but I can't confirm it. Still, report what you do know to the FTC so they can help track these people down. The gave a business name, but that's probably fake, too.
Called my cell. I didn't answer. I called back on a caller-ID-blocked line. Answer "Welcome, if you'd like to be placed on a 'do not call', please press 1." This repeated three times and then they hung up. I put them on my "scam" list of phone numbers which don't ring.
Ditto. Same as guys above mentioned. I get 2-3 'sound board' calls EVERY DAY. Obnoxious. I only answer calls that show to be in my area since I don't know who could be calling & since we now have the ability to block all the BS calls, this works for me. I've got more blocked numbers in my phone than contacts 3 to 1. Ridiculous!
