These dishonest callers switch their caller ID to show at least three different "companies": SRVC CALL, CONTACT CENTER, and SERVICE CALL. They are none of those. They appear to be an entity trying to push a political agenda, take a survey, or otherwise mislead people. Glad to see my online call-blocking service automatically blocks these idiots.
Received one call today. Caller disconnected as soon as my machine started the announce. Caller ID read "BELFAIR WA". Thanks to the posts here, number is now on the reject list of my Sentry.
Caller ID listed as "Contact Center". Sounded like a robo-call until the person answered me when I'd asked (twice) if she was a robo-caller. Calling for some pro-life cause; explained that I do not support their point of view and to remove me from their list immediately.
Have one and its value is a toss up. It absolutely will block all these calls unless you specifically hit the "accept" button as the number is displayed on a screen. They then have to call back to get through from then on. Had to get this device when we were getting up 17 calls in one day. 1 1/2 years later, Sentry is still blocking the 5 calls I still get most days--they never stop despite outgoing message to remove our number from "their call list". On the negative side, NO ONE can get through unless you happen to be standing at the device, "recognize" the number, and press "accept". Thus, repairmen who use cell phones, friends you seldom hear from, or relatives of recently deceased family members all will be blocked and you won't recognize their number so won't call them back. Can shut off the device temporarily if you are expecting a call, but otherwise I'm paying $60/month for outgoing phone service only! Check first to see if your phone service providers offers call blocking, cost, etc. Verizon will only provide it IF you buy their entire package of phone/Internet/TV.
