I received a call from this number but they simply said, "I'm sorry, I dialed the wrong number." I surely hope that wasn't a preliminary call to scout if it were a working number. :(
Like many other complaints I've read here and elsewhere about this number, they called me this morning but didn't leave a message. When I tried to call back, the recording "We cannot complete your phone number as dialed, please check the number and dial again" came on. These folks got my cell number because according to the cell company they are made public just like land line numbers and anyone get them. For personal numbers and cell numbers, go to www.donotcall.gov and register your number with the FCC to stop telemarketers or scammers. Remember, however, they have 31 days to stop. This is a FREE service provided by the FCC to help protect you from unsolicited calls. Unfortunately, it's not available to business numbers. For (land line) business numbers, I highly recommend calling your phone company and asking them what the code is to track the harasser's number. It's usually *76 or *79, but double check with your service provider. Some charge a nominal fee, some don't. How it works is that right after you get their call, immediately dial the special code and wait for a series of beeps. This has to be done each time they call for three successive times. (If you don't do this immediately after and someone else calls, you've lost your chance to have it tracked that time.) The phone company now has a record and tracks them down and officially warns them. After that, it goes to the FCC. This is a legitimate operation, I've utilized this service from my past service providers in every state I've lived in for the last 10 years. Hope this was of help.
