My answering machine recorded this message from a computer voice:
"Hello, we have been trying to reach you.
This call is officially a final notice from IRS (Internal Revenue Services).
The reason for this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a law suit against you.
To get more information about this case file, call 360-244-4585"
Notice that the caller defines IRS as Internal Revenue Services, and not Internal Revenue Service.
Another clue is that I was not personally identified.
I did not call them back.
IRS lawsuit scam phone call received on 4/17/15 with the callback number given as 360-244-4585. My phone showed the caller was from CO but the internet shows the number in Longview, WA. Similar numbers on this site report the same message and scam. I didn't call the number back. Other sites show the number and many similar to it under the carrier Level (3).
IRS lawsuit scam phone call...recording states "this is your final notice...you are being sued by the IRS." The call back number is 360-244-4585. Did not call the number because it was obviously a scammer.
they are brave, they have called out cell numbers and house number and have even left us a message on our answering service that this is the irs, call back number 360-244-4585. I will take it as a scam as I called the IRS and there call volumn is so full, they hung up and said try again tomorrow
Wish the feds would out some of our tax dollars to good use and put an end to this shiz. The caller yesterday threatened arrest and deportation. Seriously?? My family has been in this country since 1881! The recorded message today threatens a lawsuit. Go for it - I'm a paralegal so I certainly know my way around the court system and how to find good representation. I say let's get together and track down these asshats and slowly torture them.
