I had a voice mail telling me to call this number re a criminal investigation. The 360 area code is in Washington state, I live in the suburbs of Washington DC. I called and was told this was the IRS about a criminal investigation, speaker had a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent. After I asked he gave his name as "Jason Atkins" and badge number. I asked what this was about, he said they call many people and needed my name in order to tell me. I said I'd be visiting Wash.DC next week and would stop in the IRS to talk with them in person. BTW the Washington DC area code is 202.
Got a message from this cell phone saying the IRS was filing lawsuit against me. And urging me to call back the department number, which is actually a cell phone. Most likely the intent is to extort money.
Voicemail: "IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 360 252567. I repeat 360 252567. Thank you."
