How do you block the call. We had 2 calls. One was automated and one was a Indian guy named "Jeff Anderson".

Fed up with these calls
Yeah, "Steven Casey" from the "IRS" just called my cell for my husband....the dumbass left a message, so now I have it on my phone. I had to listen to it 4 times to understand his crappy accent. He will "take legal action and go to the cops" (except he pronounced it COPES). I think I will report him to the IRS

Well - I just got the same call - broken English, apparent Indian accent, IRS report and the "cops" are going to take me to jail if I do not pay.  I think I am going to call them back with a *67 and start messing with them.  I am going with the "your mom gives great head," "have you stopped molesting children yet" and otherwise question his manhood.  Hard to believe anyone would fall for this, but some do I am sure.

The IRS is already aware of this and hopefully will arrest them soon

IRS Warns of Pervasive Telephone Scam

Tax Scams: English | ASL
IR-2013-84, Oct. 31, 2013
WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today warned consumers about a sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, throughout the country.

Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer. If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are then threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver’s license. In many cases, the caller becomes hostile and insulting.

“This scam has hit taxpayers in nearly every state in the country.  We want to educate taxpayers so they can help protect themselves.  Rest assured, we do not and will not ask for credit card numbers over the phone, nor request a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer,” says IRS Acting Commissioner Danny Werfel. “If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don’t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn’t the IRS calling.” Werfel noted that the first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail

We got this call, hard to understand accent. Something to do with a case number of IRS, which IRS gave to him (or them) for collection, must settle now with wire transfer, or we and our kids will be in jail for 30 years or more.

My boyfriend started tracing the call, using the VOiP software. The IP trace put it in Pakistan, much to our surprise, we thought theirs was a religion of peace and hard working people.

The guy was working hard for sure. From some cafe. We could hear background noises, and what sounded like "Abdul" or "Abdel" or "Abdullaah" or something.

I told him to not call anymore. He became abusive with "F@ck.... four letter words".

Moslems raising funds for terror, feed their goats, whatever. Scam. Pure and simple.
