Called on cell phone, didn't recognize so didn't answer. Immediately looked up number here, and found it. Apparently has been happening for a while. Let's hope I won't keep getting called.
just got an email.........checked with AT&T and on Snopes.............area code 809,284 and 876 is a really BIG SCAM that can cost you many dollars..............it could come as email...........please be careful.
I did some research about reporting these calls, here is what you can do:
International area code: Report to the Federal Trade Commission.....toll free........1-877-382-4357.........there have already been reports filed about 809, 284 and 876.
For the state(where they are coming from) go into their Attorney Generals web site to report.
