Left us a recorded message saying "the IRS is filing a lawsuit against us and to call this number for further information".
Obviously, a scam. I expect they would have asked us to send them, the "IRS", money to avoid a lawsuit if we had picked up instead of letting it go to voicemail.
Oh no! I received a call, first that showed up as an international number +36 (Hungary), but then transformed into this number when the voicemail was left (could have just been a glitch with the caller ID). Apparently the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me though! What will I ever do but pay this scammer a huge amount of money to make something that never existed go away?!
I mean come on... Where's my formal notification by mail? Where's the red letter for back taxes (which I do not owe)? How about at least a notification of an audit by the IRS first?
Do not fall for this [***] and report this to the actual IRS if you can. It's sad there are people out there that have absolutely nothing better to do or can't possibly think of a better way to make money except to steal from others that worked for theirs.
IRS scam call. Got name of Jason Smith. He could not tell me why I owed the IRS years 2008-2013, just wanted my c/c #. He stated I owed over $3000.00 but would settle for $800.00 then $500.00 then $300.00. If I did not pay, I would be arrested, taken to court and a lein or judgement on my assets. if I did pay he would send me a receipt within 48 hours. Then he recommended a special lawyer to contact to help me out. What a bunch of hooooie. I got a good laugh for the days end.

•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Just got a call from +36 03558731. I didn't look at the number before I answered. It was a recording saying the IRS has been trying to reach me and they are filing a lawsuit against me and gave me a number to call. The number was 360-355-8731. I called it back and a man with a foreign accent answered. I asked him where he was located and he said Washington DC. I asked for his ID number. He got very defensive and asked why should I give you my ID number when you are the one who called me? LOL! Okkkkkkkk. Sooooooo I told him to F off and hung up!
