Oh no! I received a call, first that showed up as an international number +36 (Hungary), but then transformed into this number when the voicemail was left (could have just been a glitch with the caller ID). Apparently the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me though! What will I ever do but pay this scammer a huge amount of money to make something that never existed go away?!
I mean come on... Where's my formal notification by mail? Where's the red letter for back taxes (which I do not owe)? How about at least a notification of an audit by the IRS first?
Do not fall for this [***] and report this to the actual IRS if you can. It's sad there are people out there that have absolutely nothing better to do or can't possibly think of a better way to make money except to steal from others that worked for theirs.
just got a call from "IRS", saying they were filing a lawsuit against me. When I called back, they asked for my phone number. My response was " you just called me, you should have it ", they hung up. (360-355-8731)
The call was an automated woman's voice stating the IRS has a lawsuit pending against me and to call 360-355-8731 for more information. I did NOT call that # back, instead looked it up on the computer to find it's a scam.
I just received a call with the caller ID "Unavailable 1-360-355-8731" telling me the IRS has been trying to reach me because they are about to file a lawsuit against me. It gave a phone number, which I did not write down, since I assumed it was possibly a number that would charge me when I called. We are on the Do Not Call List and have an unpublished telephone number - hoping they didn't obtain my phone number because my account was one of the one's hacked at the IRS.
