I received the same phone call from a woman who said the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. She provided a number for me to call (360-358-2831) which gives a busy signal. I have had several calls from these people and each time the number they leave does not work.

IRS filing a suit against me and this was serving as final notice after a string of attempts to get a hold of me, according to the message, given that this was the first I heard about it. No reference to tax years or a case number. I have nothing more to go on than the number they leave, the aforementioned 360-358-2831. Doesn't sound realistic to me. If you're worried I'd follow up with a call to the IRS's live assistance at 800-829-1040 which is listed on their website. Don't call the referenced number on the message, this reeks of scam.
