Another IRS scam... I Don't be fooled by the threats, definitely not legit... it's fun to start messing with them until they get frustrated and hang up
360-359-2108... I just received a voice message from this scammer claiming to be IRS and threatening to take me to court over unpaid taxes,..... same old, same old, computer voice.
They called our house Feb. 18th at 6:50 AM left a message. We didn't call back. They called again on Feb. 19th 7:02 AM & left the same message. Going to block the phone number.
Got the same type of call. Threatened me with having an arrest warrant and taking me to prion for up to 5 years. I hung up and called the IRS directly. After a long hold, I spoke to a nice lady who reassured me the IRS would never call and threaten me. They would send me a letter and give me the opportunity to resolve any issues. These people are total dirt bags.
I just got a call from 305-363-3535, from Marathon, FL. Same story as above -- automated voice telling me that I "have lawsuit with IRS." I called the number back as instructed by the voicemail and the same person, "Roland White," answered. I gave him my name and zip code (that was all the information I was willing to give) and he told me the same exact story -- taxes owed from 2009-2014, police coming to take my property and take me to prison. I told him that this seemed very suspicious, and when I informed him that I am actually an attorney with a specialty in tax law, he put me on hold to "go talk to his supervisor." I told him that due process would never allow such a thing to occur with no written notice. While I was on the phone I googled his name and this came up -- obviously a scam, and I told him so.
