As with the others, my call was also very threatening and supposedly from the IRS. Guess I am in TROUBLE!! These folks are too stupid to know IRS is NOT going to waste time their calling you. I have also received calls RE full payment due on my "student loans." I am 63 years old and do not have student loans!! Get a real job and make your own money. Now I just ignore these calls but am concerned for the elderly who may not understand and fall for this crap.
Have received a call from this number twice by a guy supposedly named Peter who is from the IRS. They supposedly did an audit on my taxes from 2008-2012 and I owe $1,986. I asked why I hadn't received anything in writing from the IRS and he said I have prove you signed a UPS delivery. I asked when and he said in Jan. 2015, so I asked for a tracking number as well. I told him I knew he was trying to scam me and he said believe what you want and get a lawyer to fight this and he hung up.
