I received the same call. I ask for a letter and was told they couldn't do that. I refused to pay. And they told me to be ready to be arrested. Then hung up.
I got the call this morning. Even knowing it is a scam, it is still a chilling message to hear. I would think the Feds would get interested in this type scam, presenting oneself as an IRS agent has to be a felony. I hope they get what they have coming.
Got the same call on Ans. Mach. today. They have threatened to come to my abode and serve me with a summons in 24 hrs, Three times in 2 weeks, no show yet. Do not answer these calls, let them go on the machine, erase them, and forget them.
Yep, just got a call from these scumbags, 360-406-4679. The IRS has stated on several news programs that this is a scam. IRS never calls you. I didn't answer.
