I just received a phone call from them stating I have been rewarded $7,000 from federal grants. A man name Christopher but his accent made him sound Chinese. He told me to call 2402061447 to talk to his bank manager, I never called. The number just called me but I pressed declined, I was a little shaky after I hung up with him. Thanks to the comment above I know not to release my banking information.
I didn't answer, but googled the number and most people are saying it's a scam. The voicemail I was left was computerized. It kept repeating the number to call, but didn't identify whom I would be calling or why.
Same thing happen to us. They left massage from this ph. no. saying our daughter was selected to get $7000 in federal grant. We just have to give a/c. no.
I called UCF and check the phone no. on website and come across this post.
Scam.
be careful before you gve your bank a/c. to anybody.
