What surprises me is that we all keep answering!! Yet it makes product prices so much higher - you are paying for those salaries, elaborate phone systems, psychological tests, 'focus groups,' scientists who spend their lives designing questions you are most likely to say "yes" to (by creating 'short range habit patterns') - among other sneaky lil ways to get you to ... sign on the dotted line!
What are you really paying for when you buy an overpriced can of green beans? Er ... excuse me, now people call them "hericots" as if using the French word makes them tastier! GRIN! MORE marketing scams at work!
See, not only are you paying for the green beans (and the French translators), but the land, soil, fertilizers, insecticides, combines, a host of itinerant pickers, farmers and family, canneries, cannery workers & families, and the self-importan execs(who demand the marketing, the billion dollar 'HO HO HO Greeeen Giant' crappola - does a phony giant make the beans taste better?? Or does the GMO seeds do that? USELESS execs is more like it. Thennnn .... come the 18-wheelers with drivers (and families), gas, highways, cops (with fam, too!) on highways, construction on highways, bridges, stores, store employees without benefits, store execs with golden trunks of benefits, stockholders with embossed leather trunks of benefits, and the guy who picked up a can next to the one you chose, who, maybe like you, gets his benefits from unemployment - which you both also paid for! Hmmm ... and don't forget the graft, bribes, etcetera, etcetera, ETCETERA! Loved Yul Brenner in "The King and I." The beat goes on ... or more accurately ... the beating goes on.
Staggers the mind. I know you all can add more names & things that you, with your labor, your "savings" paid for via direct & indirect taxes, property taxes, plus fees, fines, and tariffs fill to overflowing our government coffers, supposedly for the 'common good' of all of us. HA! Even if it DID, and we ran out? More would simply be printed! The funds are doled out, a tiny bit at a time back to YOU, the ultimate "majority shareholder" of the USA ... AND in great big over-flowing freight trains full to bursting with cash, gold, gems, oil, and hey, even whole countries .. going to the fatcat global industrialists, their worshipping politicians, bean-counters, drug dealers, security scoundrels, and money-lenders, PLUS the massive chunks of change sucked up by our military leadership, who think our boys and girls are worth about as much as paper targets - or less. Probably less, given the way 'boys and girls' are and have been used as cannon fodder since there were cannons. Once, war was profitable for everyone, except the dead, but nowadays, with new tech, it only is for the few: the richest, the most insulated from the masses of humanity that feed them and their often bizzarro appetites and ethics. Read anything by Wesley J. Smith? Try "Culture of Death: Assault on Medical Ethics in America" - it'll make your hair curl because it IS all true. Bioethics in the US, gone mad and ... ACCEPTED!!! Social engineering that fits right in with Hitler's versions - but TODAY and in the USA ... via social networks and the Social Security database, among other sources.
