I did not get an opportunity to ask them not to call me. The message states they can help lower my interest rate (wich I do not need) and then states to speak to a rep, press 1. When I press 1, the call disconnects. I have gotten a live agent several times but they hung up too.
This has been working for me lately.
I normally don't pick up calls from #'s I do not know.
Pick up phone, but do not say a word. If a human is on the other end great. If it is automated, pree 1 or whatever to "talk to agent".
Either way, when you have a live person on the other end, give them a loud blast from Boat Signal horn!!! They are available for about $10.00 on Amazon.
I almost never receive a call again from the same company....and yes I log my calls.
These people have been calling me off and on for months. I never pick up and they never leave a message. I assume they are just some crooked scam and believe they have multiple numbers not just this one. Do not call list must have died, because it sure doesn't work to sign up for it.
Yes, this is a good example of a government agency at work. I have been on a do not call list for years and I report every one of these phishing calls. They all still call you with impunity because nothing happens to them as a result. I would love to know how many of these numbers have faced any kind of consequences for their blatant disregard of the law.
