Facts were spoken. That's why many are now poor. The newly poor are educating you. Clean out your ears and your eyes, baby. Look around you. I'm Republican, and even I am embarrassed. Romney is too out of touch with most people. I fear for the general public if he is elected. The neo-Republicans are much too fanatical. I don't like overspending, but I also don't like to be told what to believe.
"Ind Sur Group" - just answer a few questions, give them your credit card number and PIN and you 'win' a cruse! Exact same robo call as from 360 474 3915 & 206 496 0953 just last week.
Just try and ask to be removed - get called all kinds of vulgar names as they hang up!
Try again. Robocalls are ILLEGAL! Phony 'surveys' are ILLEGAL!
Report them both - sooner or later the FCC will do something if the numbers are high enough.
I work at home and am continually receiving a multitude of unwanted phone calls. Years ago, I called the "do not call" number and signed up; it has done no good. How can one stop receiving unwanted calls?
Sorry to tell you Brad, but the Do Not Call list is a total waste of time. First of all politicians are exempt as well as non-profit organizations or any company with which you have done business in the past. During this political year, many scammers are taking advantage of it to pretend to be taking a political survey and then switch to a sales pitch. In your case your phone number has been compromised and you will continue to get more calls from more telemarketers. Don't bother complaining to the FCC, the BBB, the FBI, or God knows, the phone company who doesn't care WHO calls you as long as they get their payment each month. Also consider that many companies are operating out of foreign countries, mostly India, Pakistan, and the Philippines in which case there is absolutely NOTHING you can do to stop them. Caller ID is the most helpful of all. If you can see who's calling and don't recognize the number, see an area code of 000, or the caller is listed as "unknown caller/unknown number simply disconnect. If you do happen to pick up and a live person on the other end starts their spiel, just ask them for THEIR phone number and when the best time to call them. Of course you can simply hang up but you'll miss all the fun.
"you are a telemarketer, and I don't do business with any company that uses telemarketing as a form of advertising" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it)
Robo Sarah calls my cell number and my voip phone. She offers a free cruise for a 30 second survey about the bad state of politics in this election year. Other people have said that it is a ploy to sell you a cruise.
I have a lot more than 20 numbers from these people. But to keep it simple, these are the area codes that they are using (not all of them are in Oregon:
202 206 253 and brand new area code: 425
360 503 724
727 971
And each area code had several numbers from several calls. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site.
Nothing is going to stop these scammers and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective.. DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.
So, just block them, don't answer unknown calls, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls. If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back. No problem. Its alot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.
Its our life and we need to take it back.
One person said to call forward selective to the FCC whose number is 1-717-338-2533
(a commenter said they are out of Panama so even more worries ther)
