That is exactly what has happened to me. I pressed #1 thinking I would be rid of them but then I get more of the same type of calls but from a different # EVERY DAY for over a month
I received a call from this number. I did not answer and They never left a message. I called this number back, immediately, & their recording said, "the survey had expired", if you no longer want to receive these calls press the number 1.
Clearly, they are checking to see if phone numbers are active.
If you press 1 to be deleted, they know your phone number is a active/working number.
List your number with the National Do Not Call Registry, mark down day 32 from the day/date you registered. Starting that day, FILE A COMPLAINT ON EVERY ONE of those telemarketer calls you get, every time you get one. I do that and IT STOPS, I do NOT get repeat calls.
I have a android cell phone, I downloaded the FREE APP "Free Call Blocker Plus" and I ADD every number that I do not want to receive calls from, INCLUDED BILL COLLECTORS and I SUPER RARELY GET unwanted phone calls anymore and YES, I HAVE STIFFED NUMEROUS CREDIT CARD, CHARGE ACCOUNT companies, I am in a position where I do not give a crap about my credit record and now, too much time has passed for me to be sued in my State, so in less than 2 years all of that falls off my credit record anyway.
Pacifictel. They keep calling me ,I block one number and they call from another number. STOP CALLING ME !!!!!!! I have reported them and will do it again and again until they stop.
