I got this same message on my answering machine. I have not called the number back. I figured it was something like this!!! On my ID it says private number. I'm pretty sure if it was really from the IRS the number would not say private number. When you called them back did they want your bank acct number?
Left Message on answering machine. I called the number provided. A person named Kevin answered and gave his employee number AC10787. Claimed IRS is filling a law suit against me for taxes owed between 2008 and 2014. Claimed he was from IRS. And that I ahd not responed to repeated attempts to contact me. I asked how the attempts were made: phone?; certified mail?; He said an agent tried to deliver the notice. He spoke with a heavy east Indian accent and would not let me talk to his supervisor. He had my home address and home phone number. I called him a fraud and hung up.

Left a message claiming to be from the IRS and that we were in serious trouble. Really upset my wife. She did not call back, but still doesn't believe that people can perpetuate such a ridiculous fraud.
