When I call the only phone number that has popped up on my caller I.D. in the last few days, I get a prompt to contact the FTC.
Earlier posters who have contacted the FTC may have made some progress. YAY!
On my end, insisting that the caller must talk about dragons seems to be working.
I only received one more call after the two I posted earlier. Despite my constant "hellos" the caller hung up. I was relieved yet disappointed. My husband and I had cooked up all kinds of replies. Each one based on a surreal theme.
As for now, my husband and I will answer future calls as if we were Salvador Dali. We'll talk about dragons, pretend we're poodles, ask the caller how he or she feels about chocolate shoes or bubble gum cars.
If have received calls from this number for the last 3 to 4 weeks. It happens quite often 2-3 times a day. In addition to this, I have received several more calls each day from Unavailable numbers and numbers that only say 1111 or 1105. This all started happening at the exact same time so I know it is the exact same people that keep trying to call me! This is getting sooooo annoying and frustrating. It is total harassment and I will contact every government office I can until I get these people to stop!!! I'm going to start by contacting the Attorney General (since it's a WA number and I live in WA.)
This is unacceptable. I though it was just me. But it has been going on for years. Perhaps I can file a class action suit. I will let you know.
