I get 2-3 calls a day from this number. A recording comes on and says I received this call because there is an e-mail trying to get personal info from me which is called phising. It is very annoying. I called back the number and got the same recording. No live person. They are calling on my cell phone. They told me to go to www.onguardonline.gov We have to stop this...
I think these are automated calls that connect with a person (the scam artist) once you answer. This explains why no message is left and also explains why it takes them so long to come on the line. Some people think there is no one there but if you stay on the line long enough they will come on and ask you about medications.
My advice is to tell them you take morphine or ritalin or some other substance that they cannot provide. In that case I think they take your number off of the dialing system. Try that.
