A think-accented man (sounded a call from India) recording left a garbled . That they were the IRS and there were 4 cases against us. I called the number right back, and a man with the same thick accent told me that he had to talk to my wife, that she had 4 cases against her from the IRS. I pushed him about being with the IRS, he insisted that he was, but would give me no further information. He eventually hung up on me. BE CAREFUL - the phone call had all the warnings of being a SCAM.
I got a call and it was from a garbled recording (automated voice) that stated they were the IRS and had a request for copies of my tax filings and so on. Then that in 24 hours there would be an arrest warrant for me. But they never said my name etc. At the end of the automated recording the voice stated it's phone number not mine and hung up. I called the number back but there was a busy signal. Totally scammers, I'm keeping my look out for their next call that would be to extort money. SCAM!
