Said his name was Peter and Sheldon on two separate calls. Called me multiple times from the same number. When I picked up and wouldn't talk he would sing songs into the phone. He called me ten times in about three minutes. He also called from 202-000-0000.
This person called from the government with a heavy accent telling me that I was to receive a grant for $9,000 to call back a number with a confirmation code and I would receive $9,000. Needless to say I did not call back that number with the confirmation number I believe it might be a scam
My mother received a call from this number asking for my phone number, but wouldn't identify a reason for calling either. Is this a known scam. Any information would be helpful.
