Said his name was Peter and Sheldon on two separate calls. Called me multiple times from the same number. When I picked up and wouldn't talk he would sing songs into the phone. He called me ten times in about three minutes. He also called from 202-000-0000.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I read through the comments about the phone number: 370-529-0744 and I can honestly say they are not entirely a scam. Maybe to some, more than likely those who've been victims of identity theft. I've never had debt or owed anyone, until I recently switched from Tmobile to AT&T and completely forgot about the cancelation fee because I was too happy with my new bill ($30/mo unlimited). Well turns out that Tmobile sent my debt to collections, RPM, to be exact. I told them I didn't want to speak to them and I'd verify nothing for them and to just mail me whatever their business was. So at last I finally ONLY verified my DOB and that was enough to lift "security" purposes in order for them to explain the nature of the call. Everything was cleared up and I'm very glad because I enjoy having a high 700's credit score. So if these people call you, hang up and call back or refuse to speak to anyone except for the lady who attended me. Her name is Stephanie Lopez and her desk number is #1027. Request her if it makes you feel a bit more at ease about these people. Good luck everyone!
