Just got a call from this number. I have family in Washington so I answered it. It was some lady asking if I was my first name. I said yes. She then said my first name again and then my last. I said yes. She then spouted off her name and informed me that this was a recorded line and that she needed to make sure I was who I was to ensure that she wasn't giving out any personal information. She then spouted off a recently previous address and asked if I still lived there. I asked, who is this again? And what company are you affiliated with? She hung up before I could get the second question out. Very creepy.
This number is a collection agency. They collect for Dish and internet providers. You should also want to know how back they are trying to collect. I called them back and found out that they are trying to collect on a old bill from 2006. Life happens I filed Bankruptcy so that took care of that for me. If you didn't file BK most states have a Limitation of action for collecting on old bills. In Idaho it's five years and of course if you don't know this information you won't mention it. The guy couldn't do math. He side I was close to the 5 years....hmmmmm I am pretty sure it's almost 10 years I said. Go to your county website and find out what your limitation is
