I have received calls from "Tom at Home Protection" from numbers in CT and WA. Don't bother talking to Tom -- he's not real (although I think a person does eventually pick up if you provide an answer that the computer doesn't recognize.
If you are already on the Do Not Call Registry, PLEASE go to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and file a complaint.
I see complaints about this call all over the web, but no one seems to know what to do about it. The only recourse we have as consumers is to file a complaint. The FTC telemarketer guidelines indicate that Do Not Call registry violations can result in a $16,000 per CALL fine.
I just filed a complaint with the FTC. They are calling several times a day. From the number here or 360-529-6104. We answered yesterday only to have no one on the line. We've called the number back and hit 1 to have our number removed from their list. It's getting very annoying!
